Infant Care

The Little Eagles Learning Center is a ministry of Rock of Cape and Eagle Ridge Christian School.  Little Eagle Learning Center is a quality pre-school program accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA).  Our preschool program began in 1998 and has been blessed with substantial growth each year since. With a substantial increase in demand for infants, we instituted a program in the fall of 2013.

Our Goal
It is our belief each child is entitled to a safe, nurturing and loving environment in which to grow.  We want to provide a home away from home for your baby, where they will be loved, challenged and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Our Nursery
The Little Eagles nursery is self-contained providing a warm and comfortable environment.  The nursery is staffed with experienced, qualified caregivers.
Each baby is provided with their own crib.  Their individual sleeping and feeding schedule and requirements are carefully adhered to according to their needs. A designated play area suited to their developmental progress is provided and constantly monitored and changed as the babies grow and develop.

Hours Of Operation
Little Eagles Learning Center Infant Care will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  The center is closed for major holidays.

Student Enrollment
The Little Eagles Learning Center nursery offers full and part time care for children ages 6 weeks to 23 months.  If you wish to begin the enrollment process for your child or would like to set up an appointment for a tour and an interview, please call 573-339-1335.  A personal interview with the Director, completion of required paperwork, confirmation of acceptance, and payment of registration fee will guarantee that a place is reserved for your baby.

Little Eagles

Preparing young minds to explore their academic, physical, and social potential is the foundation of Eagle Ridge Christian School’s early childhood program. Each child is unique and requires a learning environment consistent with his or her individual developmental readiness. To ensure that every child is interested, excited, and engaged in learning, Eagle Ridge uses curriculum from A Beka that stresses creativity and skill development while incorporating a broad-based learning experience.

Teachers place a strong emphasis on oral language development, since this is the preschool child’s most natural and impressive mode of communication and learning.  Creative learning centers encourage young children to explore, discover, and create. The activities encourage problem solving and enhance socialization, self-concept, and language development. Dedicated, well-trained, and caring teachers strive to ensure that each child experiences success, develops a positive self-image, and acquires a love for learning in a Christian atmosphere.

Elementary

Christian education and the spiritual formation of young minds are achieved through a strong partnership between parents and committed, caring Christian
teachers.  At Eagle Ridge Christian School, that partnership is taken to heart. During these early formative years, innovative classroom techniques stimulate eager minds and foster the joy of learning in the core subject areas of reading, spelling, math, science, social studies, and Bible.

Curriculum is coordinated to help students make important learning connections among subject areas. The reading program is phonics based in kindergarten through second and literature-based blended with phonics in grades third through sixth.  Limited class size allows each child to receive personalized attention and guidance by highly experienced teachers who strive to develop each student’s social, physical, and academic skills.

Elementary students at Eagle Ridge participate in a variety of curriculum-related field trips that instill a sense of excitement and allow for a deeper understanding of the subject area(s). Students have the opportunity to learn in context and engage in real world experiences.  Library skills, physical education, fine arts, and technology integration are also integral programs that emerge during the elementary curriculum to encompass a well-rounded educational experience.

Jr. High and Sr. High

Eagle Ridge Christian School offers an authentic Christian learning environment that assists parents in providing a Christ-centered education of the highest caliber. Skilled and involved teachers promote high academic standards while helping junior and senior high school students develop skills in creative and critical thinking. Rigorous academic coursework and small classes support the pursuit of excellence in spiritual, social, emotional, and academic growth.

Core academic subjects include English grammar/writing, literature, math, science, social studies and Bible. There is heavy emphasis placed on writing, research, and study skills to prepare students for success in high school and beyond. Students are exposed to art, music, physical education, and technology and may choose from a variety of electives and extracurricular activities including: sports, National Honor Society, student council, coding, yearbook, and e-sports. Additionally, 7th-12th students participate in our community service program where they are encouraged to give back to our community.
